If you want to do that, I think it’s a nice idea. Their site would seem to me to be the place to start. If there’s a phone number, I’d call them.

Honestly, I’ve never heard of them. You need to speak with them. If they’re legitimate, they should be glad to answer your questions… tell you how to get stated.

If I may, just a word of caution. My guess is that they want to sell cell phones and phone cards. Find out the cost of phones and their minute rates. Then wander down to your local Thrifty or Walmart and see if you can beat their prices. I think you can pick up an inexpensive phone for less than $20. The price you pay is in the usage… about ten cents a minute.

Another concern is coverage. So the guy has a phone. Can he use it? And what about international calls? It’s unlikely he’ll be calling anybody in Iraq.

Good luck. Hope it works out for you.

    Thanks

As far as celphones are concerned, don’t waste your time or money with them. it is a very nice thought, but they are unauthorized in Iraq and Afghanistan. Send calling cards instead (AT&T to be specific, nobody else’s cards work on the AT&T phones).

If you want to do something for the troops, go to or or they are all legit, and have links to other legit sites.

thank you for your support :)
