Calling Card Online

I received a phone call(I'm in the US) on my cell phone from a friend in Costa Rica, who used a phone card . Will I be charged on my monthly statement and if so, how much? If it means anything, I use Verizon.

Hi Does anyone know about a better calling card to call United States? I don't want a landline as I have a cell phone and never really home during daytime to answer the land phone.
