Would You Give Up Part or All of tax Refund For Natnl. Debt?

February 15th, 2011 No comments

As most Americans don’t trust our politicians, this thread may be dead before it gets started. I was looking at some interesting figures on the annual revenue and spending of the US. http://usgovernmentrevenue.com/ According to the charts, revenue will be approx $4.3 trillion. As the proposed budget is $3.75 trillion, that leaves about $600 billion that I assume is returned as tax refunds. Would you be willing to forfeit all, or part of your refund if you could trust the politicians to only put it against the debt? Would still take 25yrs. or so to payoff the debt. The biggest “Gotcha” would be that spending has to be reduced as well. Interesting to think about anyway.

Wow!
