Why almost no one owes income taxes

April 19th, 2011 No comments

Only half of us pay even a dime in income taxes. The rich and the poor manage to evade any responsibility. Are you stuck in the middle paying all of the taxes?

As millions of procrastinators scramble to meet Monday’s tax filing deadline, ponder this: The super rich pay a lot less taxes than they did a couple of decades ago, and nearly half of U.S. households pay no income taxes at all.

Tax hike for Top 5% of country necessary to cut deficit.

April 13th, 2011 No comments

I am one of the bottom 95% of the people who are getting less service for the taxes we do pay just because the Top 5% of the people of this country don’t want to pay there fare share.  They already can afford the best lawyers who faid every loop hole they can to avoid paying there fare share, and yet the Republican Party is against raising the taxes on this 5% of the people.  WHY????  I feel I know.  1) Look at the rebublican congress and senate people.  They are all Millionares as they stand, or they are being supported by millionares who will not support them if they vote to raise the taxes on the Top 5%.  2)  Look at the Democrate Senate and congress, they seem to have no problem in raising the taxes on the Top 5% to save the benefits for the majority of seniors and disabled.  Doesn’t this seem suspicious, it does to me??????????

GE made $5.1 billion TAX FREE!

GE made $5.1 billion TAX FREE and then claimed a $320 million tax benefit.  AND NOBODY IS GOING TO JAIL!

Yet just yesterday the IRS is telling the MIDDLE CLASS, NO FUNNY BUSINESS ON YOUR TAXES!

Company is arguably the most masterful at limiting how much it pays and it’s typical for another Obama friend to be dodging taxes.

California Real Estate The True Believers

March 6th, 2011 No comments

You will still pay about three times as much for a 4 bedroom, under 10 years old home, in any nice California suburb near a major city(with a Pro team), as you will in Boise, Charlotte, Cleveland, or Austin. Pick a southern or rural area, and it’s the same.

Unemployment is higher in every California city than those above. The state is going into a death spiral with layoffs of fire, police, and educators.  Medical freebies were severly cut this week.  Higher taxes are expected to help, but they will bury business growth prospects.

Hiring chances are better in the cities mentioned. Employers and job hunters are exiting the Golden State in record numbers.  This one is, was, and will always be a model of democratic socialism in government.

To sell houses, you need buyers that can qualify, and make those low low payments.  It takes jobs.

The point:  California real estate is still overvalued by 20-40%.  It dropped until all the equity was gone.  Those that won’t or can’t sell at a loss are paying their mortgages, praying, and looking for an exit.  Repos are at a well concealed level.  If you have CASH, offer 25% below asking, and wait.

Prices will drop for two more years, then collapse.

By 1 measure, federal taxes lowest since 1950 ( Hog – Wash )

What a crock of hog wash!

I got laid off and to be able to better market myself in todays job market, I went to school last year while collecting unemployment. My income from unemployment benefit was about 19,800 for 2010. In order to support myself I needed every cent for rent and food, I filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy and got rid of all payments other than food, rent and utilities.

They wanted to take $120 in taxes out of $360 weekly benefit, which there was no way I could have lived on supporting myself and a kid too. I filed for food stamps but apparently I make too much gross per week income to be eligible for assistance, so I declined for the taxes to be taken out of my unemployment benefits.

I have graduated from school and got certified as a medical assistant, still unemployed and on the last leg of the unemployment. Paying $650 a month for rent for me and my son, about $400 a month for food for two, and about $300 for utilities and yes I am barely scraping by.

I was doing the Turbo Tax and almost got all the way through and after all the deductions, there was not a lot for unemployed person collecting unemployment benefits. I have to pay almost $2,000 in taxes??????

So, do I wait until the IRS to lock me up for not paying the taxes which I can’t pay due to no-income? Or, should I be buying a gun and start robbing other richer people like some people seem to be doing? IRS or tax collectors don’t seem to give a **bleep** about anyone but them selves, so what are the options for the people like me stuck right in the middle. I just saw some Mexican people buying food at a local store, I was disgusted! Here I am buying all generic and stuff on sale and with a coupons, this family of five were buying about $400 worth of good food with food stamps. I am a US Citizen and these people were not. I kindly asked them some questions and they were nice enough to answer, they purchase this amount of food every week, and they receive about $1,200 a month in food + $300 in cash assistance, and they both have a job where they make in excess of $2,400 a month, they own a car and an suv and they live in a house.

So, why do I feel like Uncle Sam is bending me over and slapping my monkey?

Diesel fuel cost

January 14th, 2011 No comments

I bought a diesel truck knowing I would get better fuel milage and the engine would last longer. I pull a fifth wheel when camping with the family and on vacations also a large utility trailer for pulling heavy loads like firewood etc. At the time diesel fuel didn’t cost as much as regular gasoline.

NOW DIESEL FUEL COST’S MORE THAN REGULAR GASOLINE     SOME PLACES 30 CENTS MORE

Here is the clincher, as a lot of people know      IT  COST’S LESS TO REFINE DIESEL FUEL THAN IT DOES REGULAR GASOLINE.     so why are the owners of small trucks being charged more? I can understand charging the tractor and trailer rigs more. They haul goods across america and can pass the extra cost on to the consumer but the small truck owner doesn’t have this advantage. We are really getting ripped off by the people that push for higher stock prices and our own government through higher taxes that it brings in to buy  foreign countries loyalities. And by the oil companies that use any excuse to raise the cost of fuel.  I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A ONE DAY A WEEK WHERE DIESEL TRUCK OWNERS ACROSS AMERICA  DIDN’T DRIVE. AND IF THERE COULD BE TWO DAYS THAT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER.   I  WONDER WHAT KIND OF RESULTS THIS WOULD BRING.  I CAN UNDERSTAND IF SOME OWNERS CAN’T BECAUSE THEY USE THEM FOR WORK.

Pondering

It seems to me that the American Auto industry has alot to do with where our economy stands. When auto companies show that they are on the right track, stocks go up. Seems to me that those who buy Mercedes, Lexus, etc.. can afford to pay higher taxes. Why in the world would you support foreign middle class and not your own? Tax the crap out of foreign luxury cars . Buy American cars.

Geithner says let tax cuts die.

I guess that it is easy to tell others to pay higher taxes when you do not pay yours. Why are so many in the Obama administration so adverse to paying what all the rest of us have to pay? The ruling class once again says “Do as I say, not as I do.”

inof please!

filed for bankrupcy a few years ago. have been paying my morgage but did not want my taxes included. wanted to pay myself. just found out that BOA has been paying my taxes. the tax bill went to them. i am now looking at paying back BOA for these taxes. they want another 2,000.00 more than i can afford. my budget would leave me with 175.00 for the whole mth. i have a sick child who is on meds and is now in school and doing much better. i now am looking at losing my home due to this tax bill. is there another way for me to talk to BOA and work something out so we can keep our home. i have a lawyer but he says he can only do what he can and that i need to talk to BOA> did that and found out i cant talk to BOA because i have a lawyer. i have applyed for a modifcation , was told i do not meet the programs they have. does anyone know what programs are out there for me to question BOA on this modifcation? and what the laws are on having a sick child that may help me with talking to BOA. any info will be great.
