Gas prices have increase $0.30/gal this month in California. Oil is recovered in California for about $6.00/barrel. It has only gone up due to labor inflation over the last 50 years.
There is little gas usage, and inventories are very high. Libya produces only 2% of world supply, and Saudi Arabia has already confirmed it will make up any decline. No decline in Libryan oil production has actually occurred.
My point: The increase in US pump prices is totally unjustified. It is pure PRICE GOUGING by the US gasoline distributors, taking advantage of a potential excuse. The government(Commerce, AG, EPA, White House) have been silent. No comment, no prosecution.
So I assume the government officers at amny levels are being paid plenty to ignore the obvious.
